TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) A new Topeka travel stop hopes to have truck drivers smitten with all the extra parking spaces.
Love's Travel Stops and County Stores opened its 26th location in Kansas Thursday off of Highway 75 and Lower Silver Lake Road in Topeka.
The company says the new location comes with 75 truck and 46 car parking spaces, and brings 50 new jobs to the area.
Founder Tom Love says the additional room will address the shortage of parking for professional drivers in this corridor.
The new facility is 8,400 square feet and comes with a Chester's Chicken, Godfather's Pizza and Subway.
There's also showers, laundry facilities, and even a CAT scale.
During a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Love's gave some love to the nearby Sunflower Soccer Association, and the Boys and Girls Club of Topeka by making a $1,000 donation to each organization.
