VH1 released a 30-second trailer full of unspecified drama in advance of season nine of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” which returns Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m.
Yes, the show has made it to season nine and several originals remain, including Mimi Faust, Stevie J, Yung Joc, Lil Scrappy, Rasheeda Frost and Karlie Redd.
The show will likely release more detailed plotlines later but all VH1 gave out was who would show up this season (and not specifying who gets “main” billing.)
In all likelihood, the first six or seven or so listed below are primary cast members and everyone else shows up in varying degrees. This may clue us in that Sierra Gates may have gotten a promotion.
There appear to be no major departures from season 8 though Spice and Scrapp de Leon (who were promoted to star status last season) may have been demoted again. Yung Joc was moved up to regular status for the first time last season as well and he is still listed high up.
Pooh Hicks and Che Mack, who appeared quite a bit season 8 in supporting roles, were not listed below.
There are two new female rappers listed as newbies: LightSkinKeisha and Kiyomi Leslie.
