LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Just in time for the Valentine's holiday, Viterbo University presents a tale of love with an unlikely name. "Failure: A Love Story" runs Jan. 31 to Feb. 9 at the Fine Arts Center.
Set in 1920s Chicago, the show focuses on sisters with the last name Fail. Nelly, Jenny June and Gerty all aim to prove that love can overpower any success or failure.
The process is something of a love story itself. Created through a class called "Production Collaboration," the show stands as the final result of input from the director, actors and technicians alike.
“The ‘final product’ is not one I would have come to on my own, and I am so thankful for that,” Director Erin Jerozal said. “This production represents the voices, opinions, research, decision-making, perspectives, and passions of all of us, combined. It was made richer and stronger by our collaboration.”
Performances run at 7:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays. One Sunday afternoon matinee takes place on Feb. 9 at 2 pm. Reserve tickets by clicking here.
