Sage Singers, a first of its kind chorus for LGBTQ elders and their allies, is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a LOVE concert and Italian dinner on Fri., Feb. 14, 6:30 pm, at the historic First Baptist Church, 1373 Grant Street across from the State Capitol. Tickets @$30 are available on the nonprofit’s website, www.sagesingers.org. Tickets must be purchased in advance to accommodate the caterer and because there is limited seating; no sales at the door. Please join us for a fun evening with this vibrant and inspiring group that loves to sing!
Judith Nelson (on the right in the picture, with her partner Carol While on the left) is the Founder of Sage Singers, and Kevin Crowe is the Artistic Director. Starting with just 16 singers in October of 2018, the chorus has grown steadily and now has 50+ singers. Sage Singers, a non-auditioned chorus, will start rehearsals on Sun., Feb. 23, 2:30-4:30 pm, at First Baptist Church, for their Pride concert in June and for their performance at the GALA Choruses Festival (an every-four-years event) in Minneapolis in July. For more information about rehearsals or any other aspect of Sage Singers, send an email or text to General Manager Mo McGowan: mcgowanmo50@gmail.com OR 303-619-3241.
