Middlemiss Heart Ball shows LOVE - Lowell Sun

All you need is love … and there was plenty of it when the Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation hosted its sixth annual Heart Ball, a celebration of life and love, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Andover on Feb. 8.

Nearly 500 lovable guests came to honor, pay tribute and keep the memory of young Joseph Middlemiss alive. At the young age of 6, sweet Joseph lost his life unexpectedly to cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle.

Guests mingled at the fabulous cocktail reception while taking fun photos in a booth, while in the grand ballroom they listened to an inspirational speaking program, dined on a delicious dinner and danced the night away to music by the band Soul City.

Joseph’s strong and dedicated parents, Scott and Kate Middlemiss, created the foundation to honor their beautiful son by continuing the kindness and love that Joey shined on everyone while also supporting the lives of other “heart warriors” who fight big battles in the world of pediatric cardiology. The foundation focuses on their sons’s literal and figurative big heart.

The Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation honor’s Joseph’s message of “All You Need is Love” by spreading kindness, empowering children, funding cardiomyopathy research, and supporting families dealing with pediatric cardiac conditions.

The Z- List dedicates this page to the brave Joseph Middlemiss, who truly shined bright with his great big heart and love for everyone and everything. May his memory continue to shine.
