Love In Action sees more in need amid COVID-19 crisis - WTVY, Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- The coronavirus virus is forcing Love In Action to love on the community a little differently.

Love In Action Ministries proclaims the love of Jesus through acts of kindness.

They offer grocery help and hot meals for those in need.

The center is finding that more people need help as people continue to lose jobs and food becomes scarcer because of the coronavirus crisis.

They now have to let people come inside in cycles to eat.

And, finding food to serve is also becoming a challenge.

“We usually get a good amount of food from restaurants, but of course their businesses are closing. They're hurting, so we aren't getting that much food from restaurants. So any kind of help with nonperishables or even dishes that people want to cook up would be a huge blessing,” says Ken Tuck the president of Love In Action Ministries.

You can drop off food, monetary or hard to find cleaning item donations at the center.
