Lauren and Cameron Should Get a Love Is Blind Spinoff Before Season 2 Airs - Screen Rant

Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamiltonshould get a Love Is Blind spinoff before season 2 airs. After all, this beloved couple proved to be one of the most compelling aspects of the groundbreaking new reality series.

Cameron and Lauren appeared on Love Is Blind as singles who stepped into their respective pods and began talking. Very early on, viewers could see the heat between the stud scientist and his elegant content creator love interest. Their mundane chitchat morphed into warm fuzzies over their similar views on family and career, which quickly evolved into them declaring their love and affection for each other a mere six days into the process. There were tears and starry-eyed glances as the weight of their mutual confessions washed over them. This set the stage for Cameron's romantic proposal, which Lauren happily accepted.

One viewer tweeted, "I feel like this show was made for Lauren and Cameron to meet themselves, Absolutely love themmmm, We definitely need a spin off based on them#LoveIsBlind." Another only had eyes for Cameron, writing "I’ve watched so much Love is Blind and now all I want is my own Cameron but everyone sucks omg I hate this."

Even though they ultimately found their way to each other, Love is Blind did tease that Lauren and Cameron were desired by and made connections with other singles. Kelly, who left her fiancé Kenny at the altar, was pleasantly surprised when she finally met Cameron during the couples' first dinner outing with each other in season 1, calling him, "hot." As well, Lauren and Damian Powers also had a flirtation with each other back in the pods. During the reunion special, they shocked the room by discussing their "dates" and how they bonded while performing Star Wars impressions for each other. Knowing the effect on others around them, it could be very educational and helpful to other couples to showcase Cameron and Lauren continuing their relationship in the real world.

Cameron and Lauren most definitely deserve to get their own show. From their first moments on screen together, fans could see that their love was something special. Reality television hasn't always been the most diverse or inclusive place. While the genre has had fan favorites like Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo on The Bachelorette, interracial couples haven't been in plentiful supply. Sometimes when they are, they've been reduced to a fetish or a steamy sexual attraction, as opposed to a loving union that might serve as inspiration to others. Both Lauren and Cameron appear to be good people with good hearts. Cameron is probably one of the most emotionally available men to step on screen in a while.

Meanwhile, Lauren did her due diligence to make sure this relationship was something that would serve her growth, not impede it. Two sterling role models should definitely be given a platform to showcase their romance. Besides, of all the couples displayed on Love is Blind's first season, Lauren and Cameron are the only people anyone is talking about now that the season has wrapped. Come on, Netflix! That's ratings gold.
