“Love, Death & Robots” season two is nearly upon us.
The next iteration of the popular animated series is coming to a Netflix account near you this May.

The first season of “Love, Death & Robots” was released with very little fanfare. It soon carved out a dedicated niche of fans who were entranced by its short (all of its episodes are roughly 20 minutes or less), strikingly animated stories that more often than not left audiences with severe existential crises.
Well, okay, not always—there’s plenty of sharp humor peppered throughout a few of the vignettes. “Three Robots,” for example, finds a trio of automatons sightseeing in a post-apocalyptic city trying to piece together why humans did the things they did, leaving plenty of room open for pithy satire (and a pretty realistic depiction of cats).
And while “Love, Death & Robots” is a very off-the-grid type of project, there were plenty of familiar faces that appeared in the first season: Samira Wiley of “Orange is the New Black” appeared in an episode titled “Lucky 13” while Topher Grace of “That’s ’70s Show” starred in “Ice Age.”
The anthology series even went on to snag a few accolades, claiming not one but two Emmys in 2019.
The trailer for season two appears to promise the same gritty realism of the first season: there’s certainly plenty of love, death and robots present in the short clip. This season also has its fair share of star power, as its casts boasts none other than Michael B. Jordan himself.
Season two of “Love, Death & Robots” will be available on Netflix starting Friday, May 14.
