Woodford County still showing the love to 2020 graduates - ABC 36 News - WTVQ

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – The school year, as non-traditional as it was, may have ended in May and the class of 2020 is well into the throes of summer and thinking about what’s next.

But the community they call home still is showing them love.

“It is no secret that the Class of 2020 experienced significant disappointment with the loss of the last 10 weeks of their senior year. Our community has been so outstanding and creative in coming up with ways to support these seniors,” said Elaine Bailey, public information officer for the Woodford County School District.

“The most recent outpouring of love and support comes with banners that are lining downtown Versailles. Each banner has the name and picture of four seniors on it. Versailles always feels like a close-knit, everybody-knows-everybody community, but this is the most quintessential ‘small town’ thing I’ve seen in a while,” Bailey added.
