Warning: This article contains major The Kissing Booth 2 spoilers. Read at your own risk.

The wait for The Kissing Booth 2 is finally over, which means the wait for The Kissing Booth 3 has just begun.

Netflix’s Kissing Booth sequel, which debuted on the streaming service today, picked up where we left off with Elle, Noah, and Lee, back in 2018. Elle (Joey King) and Noah (Jacob Elordi) are dating now, but unfortunately, they’re doing long-distance while Noah is off at Harvard. Luckily, Elle and Lee (Joel Courtney) are keeping busy with a dance competition. If they win, they get a huge cash prize, and Elle secretly wants to use the money to help pay for Harvard. But Lee still thinks that Elle wants to go to Berkeley, and only Berkeley, as has been their plan since they were kids.

Things get more complicated still when Elle finds out that Noah has a gorgeous new friend named Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), who he’s been texting a lot. But Elle has a gorgeous new friend of her own—Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the new boy at school who turns out to be a really, really good dancer. He’s also really, really cute. By the time The Kissing Booth 2 ending rolls around, Elle is left with two decisions to make: Noah or Marco; and Berkeley or Harvard?

How does The Kissing Booth 2 end? What is The Kissing Booth 2 ending, explained?

Don’t worry, Elle/Noah shippers: All’s well that ends well in The Kissing Booth 2. Elle chooses Noah, and Noah chooses Elle. Elle tells Marco that while she did feel something when they kissed at the dance competition, Marco is not “the one.” Noah tells Elle that there is nothing going on between him and Chloe; he sees her as a platonic friend in the same way Elle sees Lee. They kiss and make up and it’s beautiful. Marco is the only one who doesn’t think so, and he promises his friends that he’s not going to give up on Elle that easily.

Now, for the college part: Lee gets into Berkeley, but Elle gets waitlisted at both Berkeley and Harvard. (Pro tip: Don’t make your “back-up” college the most prestigious Ivy League school in the world, kids.) But wait: In the final moment of the film, Elle receives two acceptance letters, one from Harvard, and one from Berkeley. Which one will she choose?

That’s the cliffhanger that The Kissing Booth 2 leaves us on. So, what gives, Netflix? Will there be a Kissing Booth 3? Here’s what we know so far.

Will there be a The Kissing Booth 3?  Will there be another Kissing Booth movie?

Netflix has not yet announced The Kissing Booth 3, but there’s still a very real possibility it could happen. You should also know that The Kissing Booth 2 was based on the novel, The Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance, by Beth Reekles. Reekles has not written a third book in the series, nor has she announced plans to do so.

However, when asked about it on a recent interview on The Today Show, Joey King said she was on board for a third film. “Me and the cast have been talking, and we want that so badly. We’re kind of relying on the fans to help us out,” King said. “They loved the first one so much, they’re the reason that we got a sequel. So if they love this one and they make it known to the world and to Netflix, our fingers are crossed that Netflix will give us a third movie because that’s what we want, really badly.”

You heard the King! If you want to see The Kissing Booth 3, you’ll have to stream The Kissing Booth 2 like crazy. Get watching!
