Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson haven’t issued any official statements that they are dating, but they haven’t exactly been hiding their budding romance.

Kardashian, 41, and Davidson, 28, have been photographed holding hands at a California theme park on Oct. 29, going out on dates in his hometown of New York City and holding hands in Palm Springs last week.

With all these well-documented dates, it’s easy to suspect that the media-savvy duo are happy to publicize their romance, especially after they turned up for a flirty date night in Santa Monica Sunday evening.

In photos published by TMZ and the Daily Mail, the “Saturday Night Live” comedian also wasn’t doing too much to hide what has been described as a “love bite” — or hickey — on the left side of his neck, directly below his ear.

As Page Six wryly noted, perhaps Davidson could have at least tried to conceal his hickey with some of his girlfriend’s KKW beauty products.

Aside from the hickey, what makes it’s possible that Kardashian and Davidson want to be seen together is that they chose to have their PDA-filled date at Giorgio Baldi, the famed Italian eatery in Santa Monica.

Here’s the thing about Georgio Baldi: No celebrity couple going there can reasonably expect a private, romantic night out. That’s because Giorgio Baldi is known as a celebrity hotspot and popular place for fans and the paparazzi to glimpse favorite A-listers, according to Page Six and the Los Angeles-based restaurant guide, The Infatuation.

Kardashian and Davidson, both accustomed to being tabloid targets, were easily spotted arriving together at the restaurant in Davidson’s Lamborghini SUV, Page Six reported. They enjoyed their meal in a private room, but left hand in hand, with Davidson putting on a show of “chivalrously” opening the car door for his date.

Then, as both were settled into the vehicle, “they couldn’t stop giggling,” according to Page Six.

“She’s acting like a teenager,” a source has told Page Six. “She’s constantly giggling. Pete has made her feel like the clock has moved 20 years back. She seems happy.”

Yes, maybe Kardashian and Davidson were giggling in his Lamborghini SUV because they feel like two teenagers in the thrill of new love, or maybe they were giggling because they are having fun putting on a show of new love for the paparazzi.

That show also seems to include Davidson not hiding his reported hickey. Perhaps he’ll use it for a joke for his next “Weekend Update” commentary on “Saturday Night Live.”

Of course, even if Kardashian and Davidson are allowing themselves to be seen together, that doesn’t mean that the romance isn’t real. Certainly, neither needs to concoct a hot new relationship to generate more publicity.

If their feelings for each other are genuine, the question then becomes: How long will this romance last? Will it last longer than any of Davidson’s other hot and heavy relationships with other high-profile women?

Davidson’s past romantic partners include pop superstar Ariana Grande, actress Kate Beckinsale, “Maid” actor Margaret Qualley, “Bridgerton” star Phoebe Dynevor, and teen supermodel Kaia Gerber.

It has become the topic of pop culture think pieces: How tall and gawky Davidson hardly fits the profile of Hollywood heartthrob but has nonetheless enjoyed a prolific love life with one desirable, glamorous woman after another.

Kardashian, the reality TV star and cosmetics mogul, may be his most high-profile romantic partner yet. She’s also ending a famous partnership with rapper Kanye West, with whom she has four young children. She has described West as “brilliant,” but he’s also known to be high-maintenance due to his outrageous public behavior over the years and his struggles with bipolar disorder.

With Davidson, Kardashian would be getting involved with another man with mental health struggles, but in Davidson’s favor, stories about him suggest that part of his appeal comes from his willingness to be so open about his efforts to manage his mental health symptoms. It adds to his image as the oddly charming “troubled lothario” who is able to laugh at himself.

“I just off the top (tell women) I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m nuts,’” Davidson once said in an  interview with the Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM. “Here’s all my issues. Here’s what I do. Here’s the therapist. This is what happens.”
