With a fresh new year ahead of us (thank goodness) there’s really so much to look forward to. And, if you need a bit of good news to start, 2021 will be much better for your love life than 2020 was.

March could turn an acquaintance into a friend with benefits as your social life improves dramatically. When Mercury turns retrograde in your relationship house in September, you may see the return of a past love looking to rekindle the flame. By the holidays you could be ensconced in a super intense love affair. If you're already in a committed relationship all year long, this year will deepen your understanding of how to support your partner in a totally different way.
Taurus (April 21-May 20)
Your attraction factor is super strong at the start of the year, with so much activity by planets in your sign. You'll have little patience for anyone who doesn't live up to your exacting expectations, though. Through March, just plan on dating here and there. But you'll definitely have your pick of suitors! Virgo (August 23-September 22)
Your best chance for love and romance comes in March when Venus the planet of love conjuncts dreamy Pisces in your 7th house of partnerships. Exploring new territory, literally or virtually, will set you in the right place at the right time for some magical encounters now. When Jupiter retrogrades in June, you may find yourself attracted to someone you previously met but didn't have much interest in at the time. Give them another chance to impress you with their kindness. Allow someone to love you the way they can, don't try to control this, Virgo. If the opposite is true and you're feeling it's time to end a partnership, work toward a gentle, peaceful resolution that is a win/win for both of you. You may also be one of the signs that hears from a past partner this year. In this case, don't be snowed by their attempts to sugar coat or blame you for their transgressions. Libra (September 23-October 22)
Your year in love is about playing the field! While you're a natural flirt, what you're always looking for in your heart is your one true love. This year, if you don't have that, you'll be fine. If you are in a relationship, it will feel more like a friendship than a deep, intense romance. It's all good. Adventure and fun are what's going to keep this year moving. You'll want to be open and transparent if you are dating more than one person or throughout the year, you may find yourself getting “caught” even if you didn't mean any harm. This is not the year to play with others' affections. Breaking up with someone on a Mercury retrograde this year is not advised, as things we do during retrogrades can sometimes come back to haunt us. Mercury is in air signs all year, which you are. So the retrogrades will affect you more than others. By the end of the year, you'll be ready to settle down and either let them all go, or make a solid commitment-probably close to your birthday in October. Keep it light and breezy, get to know potential partners slowly, and enjoy your freedom!
Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
It may seem that for a while everything is working against you when it comes to finding that deep, lasting connection. But it's really just Uranus in your opposite sign trying to show you that you can't “own” others. Scorpios are intense, and as much as you love your own freedom, sometimes you can smother your partners. This year you'll learn the value of “live and let live” as those who pass through your life enrich it deeply, but may be a little too aloof for your liking. If you let others do their own thing, they'll show you who they are and you'll be able to make a better choice about who you want to invest time in vs struggling to figure it out every minute you're with them. This is a big change for Scorpios. Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
Things aren't always one way or the other, and this year you learn more about living in those “grey” areas of life. Maybe they're waiting to see if you're able to fulfill your own dreams before they hitch their life to yours. Or are you pushing them away, afraid to give up any of your precious freedom? You don't have to sacrifice for the right one. Basically do your own thing in 2021—live the dream you have for yourself, and most important, create emotional room for an equal partner to share it. The right one will want the same things you do or at least they'll appreciate them.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
Capricorns in 2021 will have a chance to open up to their more spontaneous, romantic self. Typically the workaholic, self-driven, island unto themselves, this year you get to feel a lot of new feels. Part of this breath of fresh air comes from the trine from Uranus in Taurus. This energy in your 5th house of romance and creativity has been pushing you to bring out your more playful side, urging you to try exciting new adventures in self-expression.
