'Love' on Netflix TikTok Reaction Trend - What Is 'Love' on Netflix? - Cosmopolitan.com

As a sex and relationships editor, I’ve seen a lot of horny shit in my career: “flower” bouquets made out of dildos, ornaments that look like candy cane dicks, and even ice-cream-shaped vibrators. But never in my life have I ever seen anything as horny as the movie Love on Netflix.

The erotic film made its premiere on the streaming app all the way back in 2015. And while it’s not exactly new, it’s recently been making the rounds on TikTok—mainly for people piggybacking off the hype from the garbage that is 365 DNI (more on that later).

The TikTok trend has users recording their genuine, authentic reactions to Love’s opening scene and sharing it with the hashtag #LoveReaction. And yup, it has already bolstered nearly 3.5 million views collectively.

The audio that plays over the video says: “If you’ve seen 365 DNI and you liked it, go watch Love on Netflix, and use this sound to record yourself watching the very beginning—and I mean the very beginning.”

I won’t spoil the beginning in case you want to see for yourself (because it really is more fun that way), but expect some Full! Frontal! Nudity! Like, this fully makes the opening scene of Bridesmaids look G-rated and is not meant to be watched with the ’rents, my friends.

That said, the beginning isn’t even the hottest clip of the whole thing. If you make it past the TikTok challenge (and you should!), you’ll see 10+ more sex scenes throughout the two-hour movie—mainly of threesomes, public sex, and lots of orgasms (…semen and all).

Some of the scenes are just as hot as they sound and might make for a nice masturbating alternative to whatever you’d normally use to get off. Some people have even deemed Love the “hornier version of 365 DNI”—which I’d have to agree with. Especially considering 365 DNI romanticizes an extremely toxic relationship and Stockholm syndrome—which is gross, disgusting, and entirely inappropriate.

Full disclosure though: Love is pretty dark and depressing too. It’s about a man sulking in his feelings from his most recent breakup and on an opium high as he recounts the happier memories. (I told you, depressing.)

There’s also some icky verbal abuse in here (like how the main character loves to call women “bitch” when he’s not happy) that is super cringey, so I actually wouldn’t even recommend you watch all two hours of this movie. My suggestion: Fast-forward every 10 minutes to the new sex scene and watch it entirely for sex—and just the sex.

If there’s anything these porn-esque movies on Netflix have taught me, it’s that you shouldn’t use them as something to watch leisurely and just because you’re bored—especially not all the way through.

If I could give you any advice (which it looks like I’m doing unsolicitedly anyway), I’d say this: Use sexy Netflix movies to aid your solo sessions. There are a ton of movies and TV scenes already on the app that will literally change your masturbating game. And really, it’s all these trash plotlines are good for.

For Love specifically, start here at 34:02. You can thank me later.
