KISS postpones tour; concert season over at CMAC - syracuse.com

rindusare.blogspot.com

Upstate New York has just about kissed the entire summer concert season goodbye.

KISS postponed its U.S. farewell tour dates Monday, including an Aug. 31 concert at CMAC in Canandaigua with David Lee Roth. According to Live Nation, a rescheduled date will be announced soon.

Tickets for the original date will be accepted for the new date. Fans can opt for a refund within 30 days of the new show date being announced; if rescheduled dates are not announced within 60 days of the postponement announcement, fans will have a 30-day window to request refunds.

The only other remaining concert on CMAC’s calendar, Steve Martin and Martin Short on Aug. 29, was canceled this past week. All other 2020 shows at the venue have been canceled, postponed or rescheduled.

Concerts have slowly been upended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The lineup at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts was finally cleared last month and KoRn’s Sept. 6 show at Darien Lake with Faith No More has now been canceled.

Just five shows are still tentatively scheduled -- and will likely be axed -- at Live Nation amphitheaters in Upstate New York:

— Aug. 7: Chicago at Artpark in Lewiston

— Aug. 16: Luke Bryan at Darien Lake Amphitheater near Buffalo (rescheduled from June 18)

— Aug. 25: Ratt with Cinderella’s Tom Keifer, Skid Row and Slaughter at St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview in Syracuse

— Aug. 27: Wilco with Sleater-Kinney at Artpark in Lewiston

— Aug. 31: Hall & Oates with Squeeze, KT Tunstall at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs

Live Nation says ticket holders for packages, such as the Country Megaticket and Ticket to Rock, will be emailed separately about their refund options in the coming weeks. Lawn Pass holders will receive refunds within 30 days.
