On Wednesday, May 6, the residents and staff at Orchard Cove in Canton surprised one another with a show of appreciation for their cooperation and commitment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The residents, who have been sheltering in their apartments since March 30, created signs and waved from their windows and balconies as a gesture of thanks to the staff members for their efforts to keep them safe. The staff members, meanwhile, made signs of their own and marched outside the building with messages of hope and love for the residents. The event was coordinated by Executive Director Aline Russotto and a small group of residents, and neither group was aware of what the other had planned.
