On Saturday, Feb. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Self Love Beauty will host its annual teen conference, “Love Your #Selfie.” This event is for teen girls ages 12-18 and will be held at Saginaw Valley State University.
This conference is for teen girls to help them gain self-love & confidence, improve their wellbeing, find the power of their voice and love their uniqueness and strengths. All of the teachings will come together in a supportive and fun atmosphere with break-out sessions, group projects, and a panel discussion with women from the Great Lakes Bay Region.
It is important for teens to uncover their unstoppable potential to thrive, become more resilient and find their passion for reaching their ultimate goals. By attending this conference, teens have the opportunity to improve themselves to become happier, more confident, and feel supported. Teens will have the chance to gather with their peers from across the Great Lakes Bay Region and Michigan to uncover their unstoppable potential together.
“I’m so incredibly proud to be able to host this event for the third time and see the impact we have on our teens grow with each year,” stated Lisa Thompson, executive director of Self Love Beauty. “We embrace any opportunity to provide a safe place for teens to grow and find their inner voice.”
From past teen conferences, attendees have seen a 27% increase in how character strengths are and how to leverage them in life.
