Love CONQUERS ALL
If you think Ashley Brielle looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen her photo before— she’s a successful Philadelphia-based model and wedding officiant who met her groom, Emanuel Neil, in January 2018 at a party. After a year and a half of dating, Emanuel planned a special evening—complete with dinner at Bud and Marilyn’s (one of Ashley’s favorites), candlemaking at Wax + Wine and a romantic hotel room at the Warwick. “We walked back to the hotel and I entered a room full of roses, candles, Champagne and balloons,” remembers Ashley. “He was down on one knee when I turned around, and the rest is history.” For Ashley and Emanuel, continuing their love story meant tying the knot on their original wedding date of November 1, 2020, despite having to postpone their celebration to 2021. “Getting married in my childhood home with our immediate family and bridal party was a very special, intimate moment to be remembered,” says Ashley of their 20-guest affair at her parents’ home. The pair look forward to their October 31 celebration at Manayunk Brewery—with modern, whimsical decor and white florals—before they jet off to Bali (if travel restrictions are lifted). “I am most looking forward to seeing Emanuel as I walk down the aisle and celebrating our nuptials with all of our friends and family,” says Ashley. Here, she gives us a sneak peek at some more details for the big day.
Paradise FOUND
It’s safe to say that Cristen Cipa, marketing director at Bernie Robbins Jewelers, has a knack for style—and in fact has been eyeing her dream venue in Miami Beach for quite some time. “I’ve been vacationing at The Palms Hotel for over 10 years now,” says Cristen, who is tying the knot in 2021 with Doug Owen, captain and arson investigator for the Atlantic City Fire Department, as well as logistics specialist on New Jersey Task Force One (NJ-TF1). “I’ve always imagined this romantic setting and stunning backdrop for my dream day.” It’s only fitting that the pair say “I do” on a beachfront—their love story began as a summer romance in 2016 in Ocean City when friends set them up on a blind date. “We dined on lobster, drank fine wine and enjoyed a beautiful evening sunset,” remembers Cristen. “And we haven’t looked back since!” Two years later Doug was down on one knee as he proposed with a Hearts on Fire diamond. Although the duo were originally set to wed on November 22, 2020, they pushed their nuptials back exactly one year due to the pandemic. With a lush tropical theme (down to the palm trees on Doug’s bespoke loafers), a vintage-style cake topper, bold statement pieces from Bernie Robbins and a future honeymoon in Europe, this bride and groom are stepping into 2021 with style. Here, Cristen shares some more of her favorite details.
