Divorce can be deeply emotional for everyone involved, especially the children who have to so quickly adapt. Natalie Muñoz, a 15-year-old high school sophomore and the writer of this week’s Modern Love essay, compares processing her parents’ split with going through the stages of grief. Over time, she learned to cope with her new normal, while finding comfort in the one thing that remained constant: her bond with her parents.

When Renee Smith first read Pavel Aspiazu’s profile on the International Church of Christ’s dating site, she was intrigued. But after meeting in person, they were on different pages: Mr. Azpiazu decided they were better off friends. Then, after the nudging of a mutual friend, Mr. Azpiazu realized he wanted more. The couple married on Feb. 14 in Fort Tryon Park in New York.
