KISS will be giving audiences a live streamed performance on New Year’s Eve.
The legendary rock band has partnered with event company, Tixr, to beam the “KISS 2020 Goodbye” show around the world on Dec. 31 at 12 p.m. (EST) from the Atlantis Resort in Dubai.
“To send off 2020 in their larger-than-life style on New Year’s Eve, the iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, multi-platinum-selling band is reigniting the fire and roaring back to life,” says the official event statement. “In true KISS fashion, they are bringing the biggest and baddest concert event and pyrotechnics show of the year, proving once again, that KISS never does anything small.”
The “KISS 2020 Goodbye” event boasts 360-degree views filmed by more than 50 cameras. Apart from being live streamed, “KISS 2020 Goodbye” will also have OnDemand video play options.
Tixr additionally confirmed that the band will perform in front of a live, COVID-19 screened audience.
“It has been a very complex show to put together, but we are happy to bring the world something of this size at a time when it is needed the most,” states Daniel E. Catullo III, Creator, Director, and Executive Producer of Landmarks Live, the show’s production company.
KISS was originally formed in the 1970s by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley. The band is not only known for classic hits such as “I Wanna Rock N’ Roll All Night,” but also for their elaborate stage costumes and makeup.
Tickets to view the live stream are currently on sale on the event’s official website.
