DAME Judi Dench saved the day when her goldfish went green around the gills and died.
Not only is she amazingly talented on stage and screen, the James Bond actress is a lifesaver too, after resuscitating her little pet with the kiss of life.
She revealed the unbelievable incident happened years ago, although her fish has now gone for good.
Judi, who starred in the Eighties sitcom A Fine Romance, said: “My goldfish recently died. I once gave it the kiss of life.
“It died when it was very little and I gave it the kiss of life and it grew to be six inches long. We kept it in a nice tank.”
A snog from Judi might just be enough to shock me back to life too.
It sounds to me like her poor pet was just trying to get some shut-eye, but I’ll let Judi have it.
Speaking on Chris Evans’ How To Wow podcast, she also spoke at length about working on the 007 franchise.
Judi played MI6 boss M in seven of the films over 17 years and admitted moaning to producer Barbara Broccoli about the fact her character never got to travel, unlike Bond leading man Daniel Craig.
She said: “I am very pleased I did. It was just wonderful but I was kept in that office all the time and I complained to Barbara Broccoli and said, ‘Everybody goes to glamorous places and I am in that office all the time’.
“We did one of them when we were at Stowe School and I was in this big trailer with Innsbruck written along the side.
“They said, ‘You can never complain again because you have been in Innsbruck’. But I loved it. I was drunk with power.
“As M, I just played it like the person in the script, hopefully, and like the intention.
“She got to tell Bond off quite a lot and be quite bossy and I had to assert myself a bit, as there has not been a woman M before.
“I went about it like playing any part. You rely on the director and the people you are acting with and hope for the best.
“I also say hope for the best and make the most of the parties.”
Perhaps being drunk on power explains why she gave her goldfish a kiss.

SCARY rocker Marilyn Manson has tied the knot – and his actor pal Nicolas Cage let the cat out of the bag.
The singer got married during lockdown and Con Air actor Nicolas revealed he was at the ceremony via FaceTime.
During a new interview, he asked Marilyn: “By the way, is it OK to talk about your wedding?
“I thought your wedding was beautiful because that’s what you were doing while you were in lockdown.
“I thought it was very beautiful, the way you sang Love Me Tender.”
Marilyn responded: “You were the only guest at the wedding on FaceTime.
“You mentioned you were going to sing it to us, but I had set up a karaoke machine to do it myself.”
Marilyn is believed to have married photographer Lindsay Usich, despite saying he wouldn’t wed again after splitting from first wife Dita Von Teese.
Saweet on Miley tune
SAWEETIE is the hottest rap prospect in the US – but she could be about to change her sound by teaming up with Miley Cyrus.
In an exclusive interview, she said she has been messaging the singer on social media about a collaboration.
Saweetie said: “I actually slid into Miley Cyrus’ DMs. I have a song, which I feel would be perfect for her, so make sure to tell her people to call my people so we can get something popping.
"I’ve been a fan since Hannah Montana, so hopefully we can do something.”
But it is too late for Miley’s own album, which she has called Plastic Hearts and is releasing on November 27, going head-to-head with Gary Barlow and Steps.
Saweetie, who has been dating Migos rapper Quavo for two and a half years, had a Top 40 hit here with Tap In over the summer after it became the soundtrack to a dance craze on TikTok.
Of the people busting moves to the track, she said: “They were dancing a lot better than me.
“They dance really quick on TikTok so I need to do it slowed down and they make fun of me, so I need to get with the programme.”
Yesterday she released single Back To The Streets, which has an optimistic message.
Saweetie said: “Normally, break-up songs are angry or sad. But I really want people to celebrate their independence and singleship after they get out of a relationship that was not good for them or toxic.
“And if they’re toxic, make sure you send them back to the street.”
