Actor Olivia Munn stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to mostly discuss Veteran's Day and uplift military families. In her own interview, however, she recalled a hilarious memory of her first kiss. Anyone who crossed that same milestone while they were in middle school, as Munn did, can relate to the bizarre details she included.

Eighth Grade Nightmare

"My first kiss was when I was in eighth grade," Munn shared, "I was thirteen and I had just moved back to Japan. That's a tough age right? Mine was just the biggest social panic attack ever...There was this guy named Daniel Carter. I thought he was so cute!"

Munn then detailed the middle school kind of relationship that we all cherish but never wish to revisit. The 'boyfriend-girlfriend' status without really talking to each other whatsoever. All of the build-up from figuring out if your preteen crush likes you subsides when you enter the in-between dating world.

"One day my best friend Karine, who's still my best friend, she was like, 'Hey so Daniel is going to kiss you today,'" she detailed as she explained her confusion at the time, "I remember walking down the hall and everyone kind of looking at me and giggling. It was the worst. I avoided Daniel all day long."

The Not-So-Spectacular Kiss

"It was the very end of the day and he's like, 'Hey can we talk?' So we go out to the back of the building of the school and right by the spot we were at, the stairwell." Munn continued as Clarkson couldn't contain her laughter, "It was two stories and the entire eighth-grade class, their faces stuck up into the windows."

The X-Men: Apocalypse star painted the entire, mortifying picture for Clarkson, "It ended up being a really long just like, kiss. We're standing there and he takes a step forward and I take a step back. Then we hear the bell for the bus...I take a step back, I hit the wall, he takes a step forward and all the kids are there watching."

"He just comes forward, gives me a kiss, and holds it for the longest time...I don't think I had another kiss until the next year," Munn concluded. Well, if that's not a story worth being retold at holiday Zoom parties, we don't know what is.
