A stroll along the beach — and even a swim — is not out of the question during the fall in Corpus Christi. The average temperature in November is 72 degrees, the water temperature drops only 5 degrees, falling from 76 degrees to 71 degrees.

FREE ADMISSION

ART MUSEUM OF SOUTH TEXAS

For the entire month of November, the Art Museum of South Texas is offering free admission, courtesy of Kleburg Bank. Enjoy the latest exhibits, events, and activities for the whole family.

$2 ADMISSION

TEXAS STATE AQUARIUM

From Nov. 9-13, admission to most of the exhibits will cost only $2 each. According to the aquarium’s website, the Whataburger 4D Theater and H-E-B Splash Park will be closed during this time.

OUTDOOR EVENTS

WATERGARDEN PARK

1901 N. Shoreline Blvd.

Enjoy date nights at the park and music under the stars while practicing social distancing. Tickets sold in “pods” of six for Paramount’s Laser Spectacular multimedia laser and light show featuring music from Pink Floyd at 8 p.m. Nov. 13; country music multiplatinum recording artist Tracy Byrd at 8 p.m. Nov. 14; and comedian Felipe Esparza at 8 p.m. Nov. 20.

NOVEMBER NATURE WALKS

The brisk weather creates ripe conditions for walks along a variety of nature trails throughout the Coastal Bend. Enjoy free guided walks every Tuesday at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center, 2446 N. Oso Parkway. Other walks can be found on 101CorpusChristi.com in the Attractions and Activities guide.

BEACHES

While neighbors to the north might be shivering in their coats or shoveling snow, in Corpus Christi, the average temperature in November is 72 degrees, rarely falling below 59 degrees or exceeding 87 degrees. The fair climate creates pleasant conditions for strolling on the many beaches Corpus Christi and Padre Island have to offer. And for those brave enough to swim during the cooler weather, the average surface water temperature of the beaches only decreases by 5 degrees, falling from 76 degrees to 71 degrees over the course of the month.

The two-day event is 5-9 p.m. Nov. 14 and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 15.
